Dog owners are responsible for making sure that their pets remain healthy, well-socialised and safe, and that their needs are balanced with those of the wider community.
Animals and pets play a positive role in the community’s wellbeing and bring pleasure and companionship to many of our residents. The City balances the needs of animals, pets and their owners with the needs of the wider community, through laws, policies and services.
