Mirrabooka NAIDOC Event

The Mirrabooka NAIDOC Event is a vibrant and inclusive festival designed to honour and celebrate the rich heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and communities. It aims to bring community together through ceremony, entertainment and cultural activities, fostering a sense of belonging, pride, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Established in 2009, the event has grown to become one of the most popular events on the local NAIDOC calendar.

The event is organised by the Mirrabooka NAIDOC Committee, and hosted at Stirling Leisure - Mirrabooka. Committee members include local Elders, not-for-profit organisations, and community representatives and is held during NAIDOC Week each July.

Mirrabooka NAIDOC is proudly supported by the City of Stirling. If you would like to find out more about Mirrabooka NAIDOC you can contact kaya@stirling.wa.gov.au

City of Stirling Reconciliation Action Plan 2026

The City’s Reconciliation Action Plan was developed with help from Indigenous organisations and communities as well as the broader community.

Partnerships are essential for the successful implementation of the plan, as we work towards building a stronger community where relationships are based on respect, appreciation and understanding of each other’s cultures, traditions and lifestyles.

Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group

The City's Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RAPWG) meets quarterly to assist in the implementation of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2021 - 2023. The current RAP working group recognise the positive contributions that people from all backgrounds can make towards reconciliation and welcomes the involvement of community members to join us on our reconciliation journey.

For more information, please contact the City's Social Impact team.
